First Mini-ITX Build, thoughts?

Why the Prodigy? It's huge for a Mini ITX case and you're not putting anything in that will use the space.

I'd personally go with a Silverstone SG05-450 for a cute dinky rig - will still fit the GTX670 suggested above and the 450W PSU bundled is a great unit.

I personally went for the Prodigy because I just really don't like the looks of the cuboid design that pretty much all other ITX cases use. It also fits nicely under my TV next to my drawers :). Watercooling is also an option in the future for the prodigy due to the extra space where as it would be a massive squeeze in other cases.

I'd be really interested to hear how this build came along.

I've been thinking recently about building a modest system around this case, I haven't built a PC in about 6 years so I'm totally out of practice, I have an idea of the CPU and RAM I want but I don't know where to start with PSU's and cooling.

The PSU comes with the case, well you pay for it but its a multibuy deal, if your wanting to run a real GPU Ie. requires PCI-e power connectors get the 450W variant.

If you want to know if the card you want fits google "SG05 680" or a variation on the theme, if you go to images you will see the ones others have fit in generally with build logs highlighting any issues.

Cooling is very limited and further complicated by the mobo you buy (z77e-itx cpu socket close to GPU), as the PSU sits above the PSU high limits most of the tower coolers. For me the NT06-e has worked and i have seen several SG05 builds with h60's as for cooling on other ITX boards i cant really help as i wouldn't want to guess.

Hope this helps

Update:

PSU was indeed too large. Have ordered a replacement in the 550w OCZ Fatality Modular. Smaller, and seen it fits from another Bitfenix build.

Other than that, everything is looking smashing, bit of a squeeze with the Heatsink, but it's fitted in. Cables so far minimal and away.

One thing, with the H60, you'll need a 3pin splitter to accommodate case fans as well, as the Motherboard only has 2.

There is some concern regarding the fitting a cpu cooler due to the pcie slot beign near to the cpu slot, similar to the Z77e. Any thoughts?
