first network and a lounge setup

I think if you google 'giganet cat6a cable' it will be one of the first results but I can't link to them directly as they sell stuff that would be seen as a competitor of OC's.

Giganet do a Cat6a keystone module for it and I believe they do a euro module adapter that the keystone goes into so the whole lot then fits into a euro style modular faceplate.

I'm not a 100% sure but I think you can use these euro adapters with the keystone above, but its best to check with where ever you buy them from.

Thank you again for your help...

You shouldn't run any network cable next to mains cabling, but the separation doesn't need to be massive. A couple couple of inches should be plently (as the actress said to...).

You can for example quite happily run network cables and mains around an office in dado trucking without any problems.

BTW standard unscreened Cat6 (or even Cat5e) would have been adequate for the job (and would be easier to handle and terminate).

Yeah I kind jumped the gun with the cable I know this now however im willing to deal with it.

So basically i need to spaces chasing out one for the power cables and one for the cat6a.. what about arial/lnb cable?

You definitely want to chase out separately for the mains and the network. I'd be tempted to have a third chase for everything else.

Try to install conduit so cables can be replaced or added at a later date. Just having some empty conduit in there could save loads of hassle in the future.

Good advice.

For the patch panel do not spend £100 on one, something like this will be more than fine for your needs

http://www.amazon.co.uk/NEWLink-Por...F8&qid=1375912389&sr=8-2&keywords=patch+panel

And you can then add one of these to attach it to the wall

I ordered the first two for a recent small business install and my engineer had no issues at all with them. Great value for the money.

Are these brackets only intended for patch panels or can they also hold the switch?
