First new build for decade, looking for some guidance

Hi Everyone

I'm planning my first new build in 10+ years!

Budget around £3k, please let me know what you think about my build and if you have any suggestions for changes or any incompatibility concerns.

I am planning to go full white coloured parts for this build, not all of these parts are available from OCUK, so I've put black versions in to demonstrate via the OCUK basket share feature, with a pc part picker link below (with all white parts - I hope this isn't any violation of forum rules!):

I don't know what price you're paying for these, but since your budget is pretty high, I'd just get 2x2TB as the 1TB is obviously poor value at this price.

This is a bit slow, are you planning on stock running? If you are, I'd get the Crucial Pro 5600 C46 kit. The Crucial kit does support XMP, but it is technically only @ JEDEC speeds.

I personally prefer intel, and won't just be gaming although that it's a big part of the build.

Regarding the storage, I don't like to store much on the OS drive itself, so that's my logic there, but I get your point.

Noted regarding the RAM, I would like to have the option to adjust the speeds, especially as the mobo supports it well. What would be the next one up/ recommended (without blowing the budget) in the Corsair range?

Also the AIO cooler you posted is for a B-Grade unit, but OcUK have not adjusted the price down for it being B-Grade, the RRP is the same as this B-Grade pricing. Don't buy it at RRP for a B-Grade. I would get in touch with OcUK if you really want to buy it, OcUk don't have stock of pristine new ones, but the B-Grade needs lowering in price, the PM at OcUK just has not adjusted the price yet, shout them via webnotes, and they will adjust it accordingly on the website for you.

I have had a Corsair full tower case in white before and loved it, that's my primary motivation to go for this case. but it would be good to hear if you have any other suggestions or insights into similar or better cases. The Thermaltake one looks decent but I prefer the Corsair (personal preference) but totally get the cost difference is huge!

The 5000X supports the H150i cooler, and gpu length up to 400mm according to Corsair's website. The Zotac 4080 is listed as 306.8mm.

Are you planning on overclocking the balls off the thing? If not, then you can save a whole bunch on that cooler. A £60 air cooler will keep that CPU plenty frosty even under heavy load at stock voltages, so you really don't need a £300 AIO affair unless you're overclocking hard. An AIO for £100-£150 will do the job just fine if you prefer liquid.
