im reasonably happy with this for a first attempt - still have LOTS to learn.
think my white balance may be slightly warm and i know i have cropped her left side.
not really happy with the chair prodding her arm either. was a very quick first shoot though.

just in case you are wondering, the model is my wife.

all comments opinions appreciated

firstly - good initital attempt. The exposure doesnt look far off. maybe Some of the highlights a tiny bit hot and i find the image a bit too warm.

I would crop closer, the chair and arm pit is distracting and the elbow is a bit ugly.

post processing, i would work on the skin tone a bit. Some dodging and burning would help. The shadow under the nose could be lightened a bit, and i would use the clone tool on the neck creases just to lighten them a bit.

I agree Adam, the armpit is distracting and yes the skin tone is a little off. I do like the catch light in the eyes - works well.
