Just been to the local park to try out my new camera. Am impressed with the camera and 70-300mm lens but must say I am rubbish at getting the right settings for the right light.

For example, I was chasing a squirrel in some trees for ages trying to get a good shot. Finally got one that wasn't overly blurred or too dark but still a bit crappy.

C&C would be greatly appreciated.

If your having trouble with light and settings etc, leave it on 'P' mode (auto with options) to let the camera handle that for you, then just change the ISO if you want faster/slower shutter speeds (at a basic level), for now, then work your way from there :)

Good start with those pics :)

Yeah I was fiddling with AV and TV as I wanted to try and do it manually. Am in Whitby tomorrow so with leave it on P :p

Drillduck!

Sorry, just had to :(

For a first go they're looking good, much better than my first attempt (that I haven't posted up, would rather get slightly better first with practice)
