Just started overclocking my new rig - AMD Athlon 64 3700+, Asus A8N-VM CSM, 1 gig crucial PC3200 RAM, powercolour x1800xt 256 meg. All stock at the moment. Just ran 3dMark05 for the first time and got a score of 7757. Is this good? In the last 2 tests is it normal to get FPS of like 1-4?

If you mean by the last 2 tests the CPU tests then yes very normal. Set everything in the CCC/Ati Tray Tools or whatever your using to MAX PERFORMANCE then run the benchmark at stock again.
You should be able to hit around 700Mhz on the core and 775 - 800 on the memory with the X18 256.
