Hi Guys,
I have just done my first ever overclock with the below system:
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) 1 £149.99
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775) 2 £27.98
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard 1 £84.99
Intel Core 2 DUO E6300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.86GHz (1066FSB) - OEM 1 £93.99
I have used various settings from this guide http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17610180&highlight=e6300
the main page gives me most details but it was only going up to 2.8 so i have changed a few settings after reading a few guys comments and have got to 3.1 but it seems to be running hot, please could someone advise if this is very hot and also any suggestions you may have to solve this.
I have attached a pic:

Cheers guys.

as said earlier try a bit less cpu volts and see if prime is stable if not lower your overclock i am sure you could hit around 3ghz with less voltage and that would still be a nice speed to run at , also the freezer 7 is a good cooler but by no means the best , hell i am using the stock cooler and its ok until you start pumping some more volts through the cpu
.
