First overclock help

I have a i5 2500k and I am eager to carry out my first overclock, i'm sure this has been asked before so can someone point me in the right direction of the best guide to follow?

Or if someone wants to help me, let me know

Ok I have upped my CPU ratio to 35 from 33 is that all I keep doing until it errors then?

Man, i'm up to 36 - 3.6Ghz and the temps are 76 degrees!?

Is that right?? I was aiming for 4.5 GHZ LOL

It's an Akasa AK-CCX cooler, is that any good?

Yup thats the one

1.65volts is the dram... cpu voltage is at about 1.24...

I have only changed the CPU ratio, nothing else has been touched, do I need to alter some voltages ?

Max temp on last run was 80 degrees !

Ok, reseated cooler and applied more thermal grease... ran the same test, i assume that is better?

Is it the CPU voltage I would put higher? and what about DRAM voltage? is that ok to leave as it is?

Up to 4Ghz and 63 degrees so far so good

Ok, first error, OCing to 4.6 and it doesnt boot ! 4.5 is fine

So now I alter the voltage ?
