Well all my new gubbins from OCUK arrived this morning to replace my 939 4200+ system that blew up last month. I ordered -

Asus P5E x38 motherboard
Intel E2140
4Gb OCZ 6400 Vista Gold
Corsair HX620w
Barracuda 250gb HDD
Vista 64 Home Premium
Yate Loon 120mm fan

To add to my 2 HD3870's and Thermalright 120A I'd already got.

Jumped straight in to 3ghz on the cpu (375x8) from stock 1.6. Stock voltage on the lot. Booted up first time and it's flying :D

Not finished installing all the drivers properly yet and it's not been stability tested... and I don't know the temps but the inside of the case is still cool so it's all good so far.

Gonna clock the gpu's later then get some testing and screenies done but I'm happy with it being rock solid in windows so far. Great cpu for £40 :D

Edit - Put this in the wrong damned forum, could someone move it to the overclocking forum please? *doh!*

awsome, i got a e2200 and a p35-ds3 mobo have a gfx card and hard drive too but the case was delayed and shoudl be here tomorrow. i hate it when that happens. had a free day today too.

Good stuff. I've got a P5E too and it's a great board, except for the annoying issue with D9-based RAM not working with any BIOS revision other than 0107 and 0201 - means I can't use a new BIOS until either Asus fix it or I get new RAM :(

i've got one of these for my mum's pc (e2140)

what basic overclocks should i try?

i've got 667 ram, and can lower than for when i raise the fsb, should i up the voltage straight away? (by how much)

only ever overclocked amd's before
