as the title says, new to overclocking. buying a new PC. ive been trying to decide what to buy for the last couple of weeks, get paid on friday so heres what i got (budget of £1300)
CPU: AMD Opteron 170 (2.0Ghz)
GFX:Connect3D ATI Radeon 1900XT-X
RAM: Mushkin 2GB DDR XP4000 Extreme Performance
M/BOARD: DFI LanParty ULTRA-D
HDD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB
PSU: Hiper Type R 580W
CASE: ThermalTake Saprano Case
DVDRW: NEC ND4551 16x16 DVD±RW/RAM
O/S: Windows XP Home - OEM
Total: £1,311.43
already have a LCD, K/Board N Mouse
as you may of noticed i havent speced a cooler, have had a lot of good advise over the last few weeks from the members here but still cant decide. id just like to point out this PC is in a attic so noise is not a problem
im wanting to try and get atleast 2.6ghz from the CPU and also overclock the RAM, the machine is intended for serious gaming so only 24/7 stable clocks are needed, so wont be pushing it too far
any improvements/advise you can add to the spec would be great
Thanx In Advance
