First Overclock

Ive just performed my first overclock. I only increased the FSB to 333.33 and this has yielded a clock rate of 3.0 GHz.

Ive run orthos for 8 hours and no errors. Temps got to 47 on the zalman 9700 on around medium speed.

Im very happy with 3.0 I may go a bit higher if need be.

Nice one, I did the same a few weeks ago and I'm sitting at 3GHz too

What does intel TAT say? 47c seems quite low for a 6600 at 3.0ghz with that cooler

Mine is 35C idle and 45/46C fully loaded and thats at 3GHz too with the fan on low.

the case probably helps aswell. I cannot load up TAT it generates an error message.

Currently im testing 3.2 Ghz on 1.35v orthos only 10 minutes in but oh well. Ill check after work.

Damn, orthos crashed at one and a half hours.

Have to test it another time. Im happy with 3.0ghz.

Just try upping the vcore to 1.375...then 1.4

Yeah im doing it in 0.025 increments.
