hi guys well the time has come i just attempted my first oc, ive got the cpu to 3gig easy enough and seems to be stable and cool under load 39-42*

just want to know how do other things such as the memory timings and voltages affect things? Im totally new to this so sorry to sound so noobish my memory is

CORSAIR TWIN2X1024-5400C4PRO

XMS2-5400,1024MB,4-4-4-12,2x240 DIMM Platinum XMS2

Using an Enermax Liberty 620

The ram voltage should be set to around 2.1v. This is usually what everyone recommends ram to be set at. As for timings, you just need to play about and get as stable and tightest as possible. Run programs like Super PI, Orthos, Memtest to see if your ram and cpu is stable. If they are not, loosen the ram timings to 5-5-5-15.

Im certainly no expert when it comes to ram, but from what i have read, the voltage should be 2.1v and timings loosened to 5-5-5-15 if needed.
