First Overclock

Hi all, I have finally decided to clock my system just that little bit more after my friend clocked it to 3.2, but I am thinking that my CPU is running a tad high, my CPU is a E6850 and I have clocked it to 3.42

Thanks for the speedy reply, sometimes they do go up to about 68 when running prime95

oh right, do you think I should push it up some more to 3.6Ghz :-)

My core Voltage is currently running at 1.400V thats what is showing on Cpu-Z, please be gentle as its my first overclock, its now running at 3.6Ghz

So how do I know how far to take the voltage up to?

Its made a fair bit of differents on my 3Dmark06 its gone from 11719 to 12822

Ok thanks, I will start prime95 and see how it goes, any ideas how long to run it for?
