My first build that's taken me ages to configure, can someone please check if everything's compatible and works together, or if you would change/recommend anything. I am yet to decide on a monitor and will be adding another 6950 2gb toxic at a later date. I also want it to be bulldozer ready. Thanks

Have you thought about the Intel i5 2500k due to its performance and Overclockable.

With that hexcore CPU you won't need to go bulldozer. Therefore the AM3+ board is a big waste of money.

I would also lean to Intel sandybridge if I were to build now.

What is the resolution you are aiming for and screen size. Also you will need an OS

not the white one but being black it'll match the colour of the rest of the components more or less, will save you ~£43 compared to the seperates you've chosen.

what chipset do i need? and what motherboard would you suggest if i can keep the same spec or would i have to change anything else?

all the monitors im looking at seem to have 1920x1080 resolution with a screen size of 24-27" and forgot to say i have an os thanks.

Nice board, but I would prefer to go with the ASRock below which offers PCI-E 3 when Ivy Bridge is launched.

have a look at some of the other 1600mhz memory, no real need for the corsair at that price.

any particular reason for the preference of the 920 kuhler over the 620 ?

I went for the brand if im honest with you. I preferred the 920 for the thicker rad and extra fan.

on the memory cheaper corsair available as well so have a look at that.

the asrosk that rjc suggested only does x8/x8 but from what I've read it doesn't make a huge difference, if you want x16/x16 you need a mb that the nf200 controller(need to check specs. they will both run fine, it doesn't matter if they're 1gb, 2gb, 3gb etc.

this defo does(tho if you get it beware the free fingerprint ), others like the asus maximus extreme4 etc all in the £200+ price range.

Thanks I did like the look of the extreme7 board and that's one more reason. There's not many videos out there at the minute though, would be nice to see an unboxing. I dont mind paying extra as long as it will last me.
