Hi peoples! I'm new here so go kind on me, but I was just wondering if people here could help me spec a new build?
I currently have a pretty good rig but I want to make the move over to Intel/Nvidia. I need the extra power for rendering and my studies (I use a LOT of After Effects and 3DS Max, Cinema 4D etc. quite intensively). People are telling me that nVidia has been bad lately too?
Current Rig Specs;
CPU: AMD 1055T
CPU Cooler: Corsair H50
Motherboard: Asus Crosshair III Formula
Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB (4x2GB) 1600Mhz
SSD Boot: OCZ Agility 3 60GB
HDD1: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
HDD2: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 6GB/s
GPU: XFX AMD 6870 1GB
PSU: Corsair HX850W
Optical Drive: LG 22x DVD/RW
Case: Antec 1200
Basically, I'll have a budget of about £700 to upgrade with so what I was thinking is that I build a new rig and just bring my PSU and HDD's & SSD over to save on the money a bit? I'm not sure what to do though and need more experienced opinions.
Anything left over from my old system I'll just sell off individually as I still have the boxes etc.
Thank you!
