So I've decided to bite the bullet and build my first pc this summer
I want to spend a fair amount on it (Roughly in the region of £1000) and was wondering if you could check out these components and give me some advice.
I need it to be able to handle current games such as GTA V/The Witcher 3:Wild Hunt etc

Thank you all so much

Hi and welcome.

I have removed that due to it breaking forum rules.

No promotion of OcUK's competitors
We, Overclockers UK (OcUK) are happy to provide the resources of these forums to responsible individuals without charge. They cost a substantial amount of money to maintain and use considerable amounts of bandwidth which is paid for exclusively by us. As you know OcUK are in the computer hardware business and therefore the promotion of OcUK's competitors is forbidden. Examples of promotion are :-
Posting links to competitors websites
Posting links to reviews that promote competitors
Quoting the names or contact details of competitors
Offering to provide the names or contact details of competitors
Hinting about product availability at competitors and their pricing
Using the forums to notify a member of intent or actual supply of names or contact details of competitors
Listing competitors names, URL's or e-mail addresses in signatures
Listing competitors names, URL's or e-mail addresses in profile
Posting links to or the mentioning of auction sites
Disguising attempts to do any of the above

So with that out of the way, I can spec you using items from here.

Recommendations, Stulid has it on point. i7-4790k mobo bundle is the way to go and 970 is plenty at the moment, though there will be new cards released next month if you're fine waiting. MSI 970 is one of the best ones, though the Gigabyte G1 is just as good. A few quid more, doesn't feature fanless mode without some fiddling (software side), but the fans are said to be quiet and it does great in overclocking.

Those Phantecs Enthoo Luxe and NZXT H440 cases also have a separate box for the PSU so non-modular PSUs should be fine. Might be able to get a better one for roughly the same cost and IMO 850W is overkill for that build. Question, would you be overclocking the CPU? If so, I'd recommend a high-end air cooler like the Noctua NH-D15.
