Hey guys

Im not much of a PC gamer, mainly due to rubbish hardware but since i recently gave the old girl some upgrades i thought id indulge my RTS side by purchasing Command and Conquer 3 Deluxe Edition.

First problem, activation code from the brand new sealed game is apparently invalid, managed to source a working one, problem solved.

Second problem, game wont start. Pops up with an error as follows:

"Please make sure you have Direct X9.0 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the Display Control Panel."

I have DX11 installed by default, but hey ho I install DX9 and still the same error. The card in question is an HD5450 1Gb model, so im assuming that should easily meet the minimum requirements. Lastly the hardware acceleration is on by default in Vista, so all error criteria is met yet the game is still throwing a hissy fit

Does anyone know why I cant play this bloody game?

Thanks :)

Edit - Just to save you asking computer spec is:
i3 550 @ 3.2GHz
4GB Ram
HD 5450 1Gb
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit
