Hi,

I'm new to these forums, and new to building PCs for that matter. Started mulling over my first build over a year ago now, but for one reason or another have not yet got round to it. I more or less know now what my system will comprise of. One thing that is causing me the biggest headache though is the case. I had limited my choice to 3:

- Silverstone TJ05
- Antec P180
- Akasa Eclipse 62

I love the look of the TJ05, and it is only the size that is putting me off. The p180 was my next choice (which is no titch itself), but I do have concerns over the cable length issue with the PSU. The Eclipse was next on my list becasue, well, it seems so highly rated on these forums, and seems to be a good choice for a first build. Trouble is I'm not too keen on the looks (no offence intended).

I seem to be chasing my tail continually at the momment, changing my mind between each of these cases on a daily basis. And then, reading these forums, the Lian-Li's start to take my fancy (PC70 or PC60??). Ahhhh!

Can anyone help put me out of my misery? As you see my budget for the case is around the £100 mark. My system will be air cooled, and the case will need to house 4 HDDs, 2 optical drives, fan controller, and a floppy/cardreader (possibly).

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the replies guys.

The TJ09 is a nice case, but a bit too pricey for me.

Looks like the Eclipse is coming up favorite (not superised really), but was hoping that some P180 or TJ05 owners would have something to say (-ve or +ve) to help sway my opinion.

With regards to the Lian PC7, I would be willing to go down to 3 HDDs, but would this still be a squeeze?

Thanks again.

I don't think i'm going to go with the P180 or TJ05 now. not too keen on the Antec 900, or V1000 and the TJ09 is a bit too pricey. I think I'll either go for the Eclipse, or downgrade my system slightly and go for a PC7. Need to think things through a bit more.

Cheers for the hope so far.

Pretty sure I'm going with the PC7 now.

The PC-7 does come with 2 120 mm fans. One is low on the front panel in front of the drive cage. The other is above the IO shield right behind where the CPU cooler will be. They do not light up and in my experience they are very quiet, near silent even at 12V.

Is the fan on the front panel visible? i.e. if I replaced it with an LED fan would it be seen. Just thought I'd introduce some subtle 'bling', if there is such a thing :D

Cheers
