Hi there guys and girls. This is my first post so please correct me if I am doing something wrong.

I have a new build PC which is only just about two months old. All new components etc. and I am noticing that my GPU water block has some kind of staining that looks gold/bronze in color.

I have attached a picture but i do not know where to start????

It looks like "Bits™" from the radiator or other radiator-based contamination. IF you don't have anti-corrosion inhibitors in your fluid that it could be that. You have to take the block apart to know for sure. If it all scrubs off easily with a toothbrush then you're golden. Well, kind of golden. You have to make sure that no other bits travel around from the radiator by giving the entire loop and especially the radiator a good clean.

Take a look at this chart provided by Hardware Labs:

So what the chart is basically saying is: RINSE LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW AND / OR GIVE YOUR RADIATOR AN ACID BATH. Preferably with a specialist cleaning kit like the one Mayhems offer. The final flushes have to be with distilled / deionised / purified water though.

Thank you for the reply. The fluid is mayhem pre mix pastel white which does have the anti corrosion inhibitors and biocide inside. I did flush out the rad but maybe not for long enough. I’m going to buy a mayhem blitz pro kit and dismantle the cpu block and gpu block rad etc and give them a thorough scrub. What would you recommend to wipe them down with?
