This is the first image i've posted on here so go easy on me folks. To be perfectly honest I wasn't sure what to change (levels, contrast, add sharpness/soften it etc). I went for the sharpening in the end and left everything else as shot.

Any advice and I would be very grateful. Thanks :)

Nothing special I know but at the moment im learning.

I'm but a noob myself, but I personally feel that where the house is cut off at the top left is very distracting. I think it's position in the frame is fine, and I like the way you've framed the trees on the right, but again they are a bit cut off!

I think if I were going to attempt to improve it, I'd get down a bit lower, looking up a big higher, to try and catch the top of the building and of the trees. This is just me though, I'm sure the resident photo experts can help you much more ;)

I don't find the cut off an issue. I do however find the very bright area's a little too hot. Not sure if they could be darkened much but in future a good rule of thumb is to expose for the highlights as shadow detail is easier to recover than blown highlights :)

again as mentioned the over exposed walls make me want to squint but i dont mind the composition. probably done with a little wider on the lens but i can see it was shot at 18mm so thats probably the limit on most kit lenses.

Good effort though!
