Finally decided to buy my first printer. My first project will be to print holders for network equipment so I can hang it all on the wall.
After doing a bit of reading up think will go for Bambu Lab make as they are easiest to start with, would like some input on what to go for. I've looked and A1 seems like a good model to go for, would there be much sense for me to push the budget and go with higher models ?

That depends. Do you think you’d need to print more than PLA or PETG? If no then the A1 should do all you want. You can still, at least, try and print filaments like ABS/ASA on open printers, I have with some success, but it’s not worth the hassle imo.

If Bambu printers had been around when I got into 3D printing, I’d have bought the A1.
Not interested in ABS/ASA so I think I'll go with A1. Not interested in printing multi colour so I guess AMS lite is not needed or is it worth getting anyways, does it help with feeding the filament ?
While I'm ordering is there any necessary upgrade/accessory I should order from Bambu ? Filament wise, I understand PLA is good for test prints and PETG for final print. Is Bambu filament quality good or should I look to order from elsewhere ?

Thanks for your input @Diddums @martos123 as well, much appreciated.

Ok ordered it all , A1 with ams lite and some filament spools. Appreciate all your help, will report how I get on with it. :)

Another question please. I live in West Sussex, it's on the coast. Normal humidity in the house is around 56%, will this be problem printing ?

@oggiet nice little project for you to help reduce moisture in your filaments.

Thank you, will definitely print that.
I will keep printer in my server room which has temp higher than rest of the house, I'm thinking of keeping air dehumidifier in there when printing..... hopefully will help with humidity.
Only recently moved to the coast, before that lived in London which humidity was too low

Great to hear lol !!! My filament has arrived but DPD says that they still haven't received actual printer, hopefully they will receive it tomorrow.
I haven't received my printer yet but have already ordered another 6 filament.
Think my daughter is more excited than me for it to come, she has already chosen 10 fidgets for me to print.

I bought an A1 mini a few weeks back and so far its superb. I am super hooked on it
Yeap got mine on Friday, it's great. As people say it just works, no need to fiddle with settings or anything.

Wanna design some things, just gotta look into what software to use.

Ive been considering the same. May start with TinkerCAD before Fusion 360. Or dive straight into fusion 360.
Let me know how you get on. My first project will be for my Ubiquity network, want to set it up on the wall.
Will either use Ikea pegboard or print pegboards from internet.
Will still have to make adapters for all network equipment.
