Hi, I'm wanting to convert my current PC to a SFF for ease of travelling around with it, I often to go my mates house to play & LAN's and would like something smaller to take.

My current system:

E8500 ~ Noctua NH-12
Abit IP35 Pro
GeIL ULL 4x1GB
8800GTS 640MB
Seagate 1.5TB / Western Digital 750GB AAKS
Creative X-Fi Music
Samsung SH-S203P 20x DVD±RW SATA
Antec 900
OCZ 850W PSU

What I'm currently thinking of getting:

Asus ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB
DFI Lan Party JR P45-T2RS Intel P45
Silverstone Sugo SG01B - Black

Picked a 4850 because I think its the fastest single slot cooler card on the market(?) The mobo because it i hear it mentioned a lot and it can run crossfire which could be useful especially since I'd already have a 4850. The case because I could only see this and the Lian-Li V350B as suitable cases and imo it looks better.

I'm not sure if my current PSU would fit in the case and I'm not sure what CPU cooler would fit either, I'd be selling the components I couldn't use and the 750GB HD.

Any suggestions or ideas would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance :)

The Lian Li is a very nice case I'll say that much. I highly doubt that the Noctua CPU cooler will fit in any SFF case.

Thanks for the reply. Didn't think it would lol, almost touches the window on my Antec 900 lol :p

Whats the best cooler which would fit do you think?

As a previous CNPS8000 owner I can tell you they're good coolers, but you have to be careful with placement on them.

I found mine was actually fighting my PSU fan, so I was just getting a nice pocket of negative pressure forming. This might not sound bad, but it was making my E6600 idle at 70C and load at 90C.

Of course this will depend on the PSU you use and the distance from the fan - I tried it in an SG03 with the PSU facing out and I was getting much better temps, a drop of about 25C across the board.

With the V350 though i'd just get the Mini-Ninja. I run my E8400 at 3.6GHz and it idles at 30C with Speedstep enabled and loads at about 50C. Perfect. :)

Thanks for the replies, I might get the Lian-Li V350B with the Scythe Mini Ninja then, the Lian-Li seems more spaciuos and better build quality.

Basket so far:

Asus ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB
DFI Lan Party JR P45-T2RS Intel P45
Lian-Li V350B Aluminium Mini-Tower
Scythe Mini Ninja CPU Cooler

£361.05 inc VAT. Not bad, better graphics card and easier to travel with, and should make a fair bit back from selling my current components i wont be using :)

Although I want to sell my current PSU and buy a modular one, but which one though :p
