First SFF just need a GPU.

Hi guys just built my first SFF in a Sugo SG05 with a i3 530 @ 3.5Ghz, 8gb mushkin ram, 40gb ssd, 1Tb WD hdd and a GT520 1gb.

Looking to upgrade the gpu as I would like to do a little gaming. Was thinking about going for a 5770 1gb as the PSU is only a 300w.

Any other cards I should look at?
 
I've heard of people using quite hungry cards with the 300w PSU. But could not just think what they've used off the top of my head.

Have a look at Hardforum.coms SFF section, there is a big SG05 thread.

I personaly dont think you need to worry to much about size. I had a 560ti 448 in mine which is a 9" card that will max out nigh on everything i throw at it. So unless your trying to fit a 9.5" card like a 6980 or something in there you should not stuggle.
 
Thank you for the replies. I have just bought a 5850 which should be here tomorrow. Hopefully a long with the i3 it should be able to play most games I want.
 
You should have bought my HD6850 Cyclone that I have for sale in the MM. It's just come out of a Sugo SG06 so that I can upgrade.
 
Yeah I saw you had that for sale. Was just a little out of my reach price wise. I do believe the 5850 is a little faster as well.
 
As I did have an HD5850 in my SG05, a couple of tips.

- Attach the PCIe connectors BEFORE putting it in the case, as it's a tight fit and you're not getting them on there afterwards.
- You might need to take everything else out the case apart from the motherboard to get the card to fit. Don't be disheartened if you do - it's a very snug fit in that particular case and it caused me a lot of headaches.

Another reason i'd have taken the HD6850 - it's about 8.5"! :p Easy fit. :D
 
Well I just about managed to fit the 5850 in the sg05. Getting around 50c on idle and highest I have seen is 80c.
