First shots with new DSLR

Recently bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D5200 with a 35mm f1.8 lens. Here are some shots I took with my new gear in Tenby, South Wales at the weekend.

All of these were shot in aperture priority. The lens is fantastic even wide open at f1.8 but I tend to keep it f4 - f5.6.

5 & 7 were shot at f1.8, the rest all f4 - f5.6.

Yeah, the low contrast washed out look i applied to 5 & 6 isn't everyones cup of tea, but i thought it suited the subjects, especially the old film shop in 6.
