January is hear and its time to make the leap, my old PC isn't really worth mentioning as it has a geforce2 graphics card. hear are my thoughts, i have been staring at this build for about 3 months now, not planing to overclock but might give it a try after a year when the huge boost in performance's wears off

you list a spinpoint at the beginning anf at the end? do you mean you want 2, or is that a mistake

looks good overall

yep that was a mistake, i originally wanted to go with 3 Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB but have heard there are some firmwhere problems.

and 3 straight off was a bit painful

have edited the above, was not included in total cost

looks good overall, any particular reason for that PSU? There not bad or anything, but a Corsair would probably be better.

which one would you recommend? I went for it as it seams to be real good value, the closest Corsair (i.e the 620W) one is almost £30 more.

the 520W is 10 more but i like the idea of 8 SATA connectors

will it do the job?

PS

note i'm likely to look to have 5 hard drives within a year and also want some future proofing for new processors and new graphics cards.

also does anybody know what the raid performance is like on this motherbord,
with regard to running a raid 0 and a raid 5 at the same time?
