Hi guys,
I've just bought my first ever Android device, a Tesco Hudl 2. I had some vouchers to use so I got it for about £100 with Clubcard Boost and I'm pretty chuffed value wise!

It looks to be a really nippy performer and I'm pleased with how sharp the display is. Nothing really screams out 'budget' to me. I've never used android before though, and all I've got on it are iplayer and the other catchup apps. Google play is massive... Are there any tips you can give me on using android, or any apps that you recommend? Thanks!

Have never used the Hudl tablets, but have seen a lot of people on here advise getting rid of the Tesco launcher.
Not sure if the Google Now launcher is available on it, but I'm a fan of it. (If not, sure others will have suggestions on a decent alternate)

Guess it depends on what you want to use the tablet for, for which apps to get.
I've got basics VLC Media player/Spotify/Soundcloud, etc... And not much else!

Thanks Emlyn, I'll have a look at this 'Google launcher' of which you speak. I initially just wanted to browse the web on it to be honest, and anything else is a bonus - the catchup apps look to be very good.

I wonder if I need to install any anti-virus software on it? Is Android prone to attack?

I've never bothered, and have used Android since version 1.5. :D
As long as you're smart about what apps you download, and avoid dodgy sites, it should be fine!
