First time at Silverstone, BTCC where to stand?

My first time to Silverstone on Sunday, to see the BTCC final round.

As its my first time at Silverstone I have no idea where to stand for the best action? Can anyone give me any pointers if you have been there before...

No idea how they police the grandstand for BTCC events. Are they open?

If so, Woodcote A grandstand, seats in the 70's.

Cheers, I'm taking my camera and want to get some good pics. Not sure about the policing - I was under the impression I could roam. I'll try find out.

Yeah, looks like roaving grandstands. Anywhere around Luffield is good for photos. I would recommend walking around the whole track though.

isn't it the national layout using the new pits?

It's the national layout, which is the same as its always been using the old pits. The half layout that uses the new pits is called the international layout (I think).

I went to Oulton Park earlier this year and it was fully open all round in terms of where you could sit. One thing I would suggest is getting the pics on the saturday. Plenty of space and no crowding on the good corners. OK, so they are not "Race" pics but coz the cars as so spread out in quaily you can get good shots of individual cars.
