So I’m an experienced builder, I’ve just upgraded to intel 12th gen. I’ve got an issue where if I switch off at the PSU then when I first boot up my case power switch won’t switch on anything connected to the motherboard or the board itself. I have to press the switch on the motherboard directly to boot up. After that though shutting down in windows and using my case switch works as normal from then on. Any ideas?

Update bios and check 24 pin cable is in tight and of course check the front panel power switch is in properly but you will have checked that already.

It is a wierd issue , what psu is it ?

Yeah as you say I have already checked those things, and nothing seems off to me. I have a corsair HX 1000 power supply, and Aorus z690 Xtreme for reference. I guess its not a big deal because its not exactly often I switch off at the back, mostly when tinkering, in which case the panels will be off anyway. I just find it very odd, never had this happen before
