Hello, this will be my first build, I am not sure about all the parts I need to get, so I am asking for help on this forum.

The main use of my computer is gaming and I would like to run high end games such as Battlefield 3 and The Witcher 2 on full graphics. The pc will also be used for college work.

My budget is £1200, I do no require a mouse, keyboard or screen, but I do need windows 7. Can someone please give me a spec that I could buy and build.

Thanks for the spec, would you recommend getting a screen with a lower resolution than 1920x1200?

edit: Also what would be better about the Windforce version?

Well a screen with a resolution of 1920X1080 is the most common used and what most of the 24" are.

The Gigabyte Windforce has a fancy cooler.

But so does the Palit I specced, it also has a a matching Black PCB.

Ok, Ill take a look at the two cards and decide which one I like the most.

Would you recommend any screens to go with, up to about £200?

i have a samsung 120hz monitor and its amazing tbh.

make sure its at least 1080 but tbh i belive most on the OCUK website are good ones.

I think ill go for the safer one and also get a retail CPU, as I might go for SLI sometime in the near future, and I don't mind spending a little bit more

its not i have 2 * 570's in sli and my reccommended is only 700W.

670's have less power usgae than my 570's if you want to be safe go for this instead .

It is.

Then you must be running the cards close to the rated maximum of your PSU if doing anything stressful, not ideal;)

nope under 90% load it uses 650W 700 recommended so I have a 750W.

670 should use a bit less.

Guru3D say to use a 750Watt minimum for SLI GTX570 - http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-570-sli-review/13

GeForce GTX 570 in 2-way SLI
A second card requires you to add another ~225 Watts. You need a 750+ Watt power supply unit if you use it in a high-end system (800+ to a KiloWatt is recommended if you plan on any overclocking).

And 700watt minimum for GTX670;)

GeForce GTX 670 2x SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

So I suggest the OP take this correct advice onboard:)
