Hello, first time builder and first time poster here, I would really appreciate some advice. Apologies for missed information or wrong format.
I'm Looking to upgrade from a 4 year old macbook, but not sure what spec system I need for my requirements.
-I want to run 2 screens with one as a LCD TV to watch MKV Blu Ray rips/Iplayer/4OD etc while surfing the web,etc, on a existing monitor. I use Plex or VLC for this mainly for the MKV's
-I don't play many games other than the low graphic ones like Football Manager, The Sims.
-Internal Blu-ray player for the rips, I occasionally use Handbrake sometimes but it's usually left on over night so speed of encoding is not hugely important.
I already have - Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse AND 128gb Crucial SSD with everything else to be stored on a NAS. The HD will need to be wiped and reformatted I first.
So need pretty much everything and OS too. I'm not sure about budget because of the dual screen issue which is important, presumably this makes the build pricey. From reading a system built around a i5 3570 would be lovely. Is anywhere near 500 possible?
