Hello folks, I'm looking to build my first PC. It will mostly be used for Gaming & i do plan to overclock. I've a budget of around £2000 MAX and this is including the monitor, keyboard & mouse etc. Here's the parts I'm currently going for, your suggestions / improvements that could be made to the system + some ways to save money without affecting performance are most definitely welcome.

Intel i7 3770k
Asus MAXIMUS V FORMULA Mobo
Corair H80 CPU Cooler.
Asus GTX 670 2GB
Kingston 16GB DDR3 2400MHz HyperX XMP Beast Series
Samsung 840 SSD
Seagate 3TB Barracuda Internal Hard Drive
Corsair 850W AX850 Modular PSU
Corsair Carbide 300R Case with Window
Acer S243HLAbmii LCD LED 24" HDMI Monitor
Corsair Vengeance K60 Performance, FPS Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Corsair Vengeance M65 Performance Fps Laser Gaming Mouse (gunmetal Black)

You'll be wanting the Corsair H80i rather than the H80. It costs £7 extra but comes with better fans and built in Corsair Link software which lets you change a bunch of settings (fan speed, pump speed etc) and monitor performance.

I'm not planing on going SLI now but probably in the future when funds allow... I want it to be a near high end computer so I'm sort of set on the i7 & the 670. I going to go for the H80I as well, cheers valkynaz.

for gaming purposes you wont really notice much of a difference between the i5 and i7, of course there will be some difference but the i5 saves you a bit of cash and if you plan on overclocking you wont have a problem, if you plan on video editing etc then go for the i7 :)
