First time build: What case?

Hi,

I'm looking for a case to use a HIS 7970 Ice x2. I've looked at the specs and most of the mid-priced towers just don't seem to have enough room to fit this 12" (300mm) behemoth. Am I going to have to pay £110 on a Coolermaster HAF X?
As it's a first time build I didn't want to have to spend *so* much on a case...but don't want to get a cheap full tower only to find it has terrible airflow and needs to be replaced anyway.

Advice/suggestions and links appreciated! (though if you could try and keep it UK/EU based it'd help)

Your getting a 7970 X2 and your worried about spending dough on a case, IF your getting a card like that id suggest getting a nice and good case, last should be able to fit it in, iirc if you get a Matx Motherboard you could put it in a fractal design core 1000 (IIRC has 330mm not sure on width though)
But dont get a micro atx board unless its something of high end either
But yeah, unless you really have to i dont suggest skimping on a case, Haf X would be a good choice though, i have a beige ghetto case that jus about fits my 7950 DCII in (beastly ugly cooler style) could do some dremeling and then send it over so it could fit ;)
either that or pick up a second hand akasa: eclipse, mirage or omege
