Hi guys - i've been reading the forums for a while now but this is my first post :)

I'm going to have a go at building my own PC for the first time and so far I have put the following list together

pc_parts.jpg

I'd appreciate it if you could give it the once over and let me know what you think. I'd like to be relatively future proof (as much as I can be) and my budget is £950 max. I'm not planning on overclocking although I might have a go in the future, but mostly planning on using the system for gaming.

I am starting this project from scratch and so have no cables etc. knocking about, not sure if I need to buy anything like that as well.

Just want to make sure I havent made any glaring errors!!

Cheers all

Thanks for the replys :)

Are there any issues with running Vista64? Thinking in terms of my printer/scanner, will the OS have drivers for these or are 64 bit drivers readily available? I heard this was a problem in the past but not sure about now.

I have had a quick scan on the web for drivers and it looks like I should be OK, just want to make sure before I purchase. Oh, and will older software run OK (e.g. paint shop pro7)?

Thanks again

Hi guys, built my system (woohoo!!) but I am unsure about the system drivers. I tried to install from the mobo disk but when I check the device management it says most drivers are provided by microsoft. Is this right? If not can you tell me how to sort it out please :)

Thanks a lot
