Thanks for your reply
Yes I will be mainly using it for gaming (call of duty, assassins creed, minecraft) on relitivly high settings. I will also be doing school work on it and using Microsoft office. My budget is around £700 but the cheaper the better really - the specs above come to £673. As for the OS i already have a spare copy of windows 7 and for the monitor I'm probably going to go for a 21 inch benq one. One other question - will the stock CPU cooler be ok? I'm not over-clocking but will it be ok for long periods of gaming?

Looks good, I prefer the Gigabyte budget boards but that's just a personal thing.

The Shinobi "core" doesn't come with the vent covers, badges or fans so you will either need to chose a Shinobi that does or add them to the case.

as long as you're not oc'ing it's fine :) , why not go for a cheap ssd?

I didn't include them on the list but I have chosen 3 bitfenix led fans and blue vent covers and badge. Thanks again for the reply.

I think I'm going to use the leftover cash to get a decent keyboard (recommendations?) and then add an SSD at a later date.
There's the Sidewinder x4 keyboard (can be had for around £30 I think) or the Logitech G110 (£50). Just thought I'd throw in a suggestion.

Thanks :) Id had a look at the sidewinder x4, but it has red back light (i know this sounds fussy but im having blue LEDs in my case) ;) Ill check out the G110 now.
