building a computer is easy if everything works :)
ive build 3 so far and all has been fine, i was really nervous the first time, i bought a crap packardbell pc and after 5 weeks swapped out the motherboard so i could install an agp graphics card lol

i tried to get pc world to do it for me at the time but aparently swapping a motherboard is like buying a whole new computer lol

No reason really, just thought at that price the AMD wouldnt be a bad choice being as im not overclocking.

edit - on a second note, will a GA-P31-DS3L support an e7200 out of the box?

Intel are way ahead of AMD at the moment, go with them

Only if you overclock. Then I would advise e7200, p35ds3l and tuniq tower, OCing with stock cooler ftl. ( so extra 45quid on top, and then you could just as well buy another 2gb of memory).

AMD still kind of wins on cheap specs I would say.

Good spec, cant think of any changes apart that I've never used any of these PSUs so no idea about them and I would swap ram for geil black dragon.

Agreed. But this forum is called 'overclockers' so I thought the OP would be interested in overclocking.

EDIT: I would choose a better branded PSU, eg. Corsair

thought that akasa psu would be good enough judging by its reviews.

so, will i run into any problems booting for the first time, like will i need some sort of drivers or anything like that, or will i just be abel to install windows with no problems

Good luck with your first build.
My first build went smoothly with only some minor kinks which were resolved very quickly with the great help and support from the people here on this forum..

Will the Corsair VX 450W truly be enough?, just making sure.
The 33A on +12v RAIL is more than minimum recommended for a HD 4850 :)

Where it might not be enough (or maybe pushing it) is if you plan to upgrade to more beefier cards like the 4870 or NVIDIA's 260/280 or go dual-cards.

If i use my old harddrive which is IDE, will i need any drivers for it?, sorry for the dumb questions, im new to this >.<

No, as long as you install windows :p

And that corsair PSU will be fine running that system, but as said above may be pushing it if you subsequently upgrade to much more power hungry CPU / GPU combos.

Should be fine.
Anyway if you have to tweak the ram it's easy and there are plenty of people here that can walk you through it

Do the SATA drivers come with the Motherboard, and hwo do i install them and when, im going to have to get a SATA HDD because i cant find any Motherboards with two IDE connecters.
