First time building a PC

Do the SATA drivers come with the Motherboard, and hwo do i install them and when, im going to have to get a SATA HDD because i cant find any Motherboards with two IDE connecters.
SATA hard drives will work straight away; connect them, detect in bios and install OS, you generally only need drivers for raid.

Like the system you are showing at the top, similar to mine, one change though swap the 160gb hard drive to a 250gb seagate because its got a 16mb cache and will make a difference and its only £3 dearer.

also similar to mine..

ide go for a better more re-known PSU make and go for a bigger hard drive can get a lot more space for little price increase.

I know this has been answered already but i really think the Corsair VS 450W is pushing it a little, i mean, will it definately be enough and still have energy to spare?

Just done a quick tally on extreme psu calculator and your system come out as needing 307w PSU.

If you are concerned get the 520w version.

It wont take 307w, maybe at total full load 100% of all parts.
And good brand 400PSU will do even 450 so thats fine.

However, I didn't have any of these Akasa PSUs myself I can't say how silent or good they are.

This might be maybe a bit more expensive option but you could consider getting te 425w enermax or the 450 corsair. Any of these will be very good (enermax probably slightly better) and more than enough to power this PC.

I would also get GeiL Black Dragon memory, they're best sticks I've ever used and personally I would prefer them anytime anyday for any build above the corsairs mx's which I've had as well.

Just clicked order, ended up getting the corsair tx650w and corsair ram being as its on the supported ram page for my mobo. Hoping to get it tomorrow and im dead nervous about building it myself.

Don't worry, it's fairly easy, just take your time and read through the motherboard manual a few times, I do helps me identify areas of the board ect.

The only pain in the butt is sometimes installing the std Intel heatsink, and lineing up the motherboard with the I/O sheild plate and screw holes.

When installing the power cables to the board, don't forget the 4/8 pin by the cpu!

fyi when it come to installing things.. you might want to put psu in case first, some cases the mobo + heatsink are blocking it, once they're installed.
