First time building new computer

1) Buy Geil 1600mhz Ram that saves 40 pounds :)
2) Invest that In the i5 2500k so you can overclock if needs be :D No point really getting a p67 board otherwise.
3) Change the PSU to an Antec True power 650w or 650w corsair (hx or tx )
Then take and then tell me how much youve got left of the budget. Theres some other tweaks you can do but just do that first :)

Edit: Beaten again:confused:

Would any of you kind fellows be able to put it into a proper build(basket) for me? as i'm clueless and will probably end up buying two of something i don't need.

How does this look?

If you can order now im +1 on the above but the Antec 300 is on offer today at same price and its a great budget case. Im not sure but from your first post looks like you didnt need the keyboard and mouse, so trade those out for your speakers or what i would do is uprgade that 5870 to a 6950 then go to the GPU forums and read the 6950 flash to 6970 thread ( best bang for buck atm IMO )

+1 absolutely

If you possibly afford the extra to go for the 6950 (£225), then absolutely do it. Unlocking to a 6950 to a 6970 looks very promising.

can you give me a direct link to the 6950 you are both talking about? getting confused here, i'll post the link to my basket before i buy.
