Hi,

I haven’t built a computer before but was going to try it as you can get more for your money. I have picked out the components I was looking at buying and was wondering if anyone had some input on the ones I have chosen. I have slightly gone over my budget of £1100 but think I can manage it, however if you see anything that could be replaced with a cheaper alternative I would appreciate it.

I’m planning to use my old computer case to build it in so I haven’t included that in my build. It’s not as fancy as some of the newer ones I have been looking at, but think it will do the job. I also didn’t include a sound card because I haven’t used one before and been happy with onboard sound. I play with headphones on 90% of the time as well so not sure if the sound card would improve performance or not, any advice would be helpful.

I tend to play a wide range of games but mainly getting a new computer to play Planetside 2 once released. I was hoping to play this one high graphics and not struggle with the viewing distance once in game.
