Hi, total PC noob here looking to buy a mid-high end prebuild, as I don't trust myself to not mess up building it myself.

I was thinking along the lines of something like this:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...a3_5#bLCb3_6+bLCc3_6$bLCl3_6ybLCm3x*.bTiC3U9$

Specs:

Case - *Build Stock* Phanteks Eclipse P360 Air Mid Tower Case Tempered Glass DRGB - Satin Black
Memory - Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO Black 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory
Graphics - Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Gaming OC 10GB GDDR6X PCI-Express Graphics Card
M.2 Solid State Drive 1 - Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2 2280 PCI-e 3.0 x4 NVMe Solid State Drive
Storage Drive - Samsung 1TB 860 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps 64 Layer 3D V-NAND Solid State Drive (MZ-76E1T0B/EU)
WiFi - Asus PCE-AC56 Dual-Band Wireless AC1300 PCI-E Adapter
Power Supply - 850W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
CPU - AMD Ryzen 8 5800X 8 Core/16 Thread CPU with up to 4.7GHz Boost
Motherboard - Gigabyte X570 Gaming X ATX Motherboard
Cooler - OcUK Techlabs 120mm AIO Liquid Cooler

Should I change anything?

I will mainly use it for gaming (possibly even at 4K?).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the suggestions, I will contact OC and ask them to make the changes.

I do have one question - would it be ok if I go with a 2tb Samsung 970 EVO Plus instead of the WD Blue, or is Samsung that bad? I don’t mind paying a bit extra for it.

Thanks very much for clarifying.

How important is the motherboard? Is it worth it to go for a more expensive one like this one?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £230.45 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Also, how significant is memory speed? Is it worth it to pay £90 more for 3600MHz over 3200MHz?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £498.68 (includes shipping: £8.70)

Thanks, I’ll have a look are those.

One last thing (I promise) - I was wondering if my CPU choice is ok. I would much rather go for a 5900X, but as they are like fairy dust at the moment, I have to settle for a 5800X (although I’ve also heard that it makes little to no difference at higher resolutions).

I was wondering if Rocket Lake is worth considering? Most people seem to say that it’s a complete scam, but the chips do seem to have higher single core clock speeds than the 5800X.
