Hi guys, wondering if anyone would be able to lend a hand. I'm looking at throwing a load of cash at a new desktop, but I'm horrendously out of the loop when it comes to hardware. Part of the issue is that I'm currently running a laptop that was half-decent five years ago, and have had no experience with this stuff since. The upshot being that, so far as I can tell, anything that I buy for decent money now will be such a big upgrade that I'll hardly notice any subtle differences.

I've had a bit of a play with systems, and have ended up here.

Budget is somewhere between £800-£900. Ideally I want something that would mean, for the next few years at least, I wouldn't have to worry about the requirements on any game, and could run stuff at a high graphical quality. My main game is Dota 2, which I understand would pretty much run on anything (runs ok on this old laptop, anyway...), as well as Paradox grand strategy stuff (CK2, EU4 etc) with a bit of Skyrim type things on the side. Not too bothered about FPS games.

I just don't know whether the above build is decent for the cash, of if there are a few subtle differences that could be made to improve it without increasing the cost. I see a list of graphics cards and can only assume that bigger numbers are better, but there's no way it's that simple.

I also don't want to build it myself. Partly as I don't really have the time, but mostly as I don't trust myself to build something so expensive and not break it. I know it's more expensive this way, but I'd rather take the hit financially.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
