I bet the Bay of Biscay will be a bit more interesting than when we crossed in late July!!!Well several ships have been pulled to Southampton because of an incoming storm. Arvia, Iona(On its way apparently), MSC Virtuosa and MSC Preziosa. 70-80mile hour winds expected.

we did in April and it was a bit hairy then. No issues when into the med. That said the winds expected are much more gnarly.
Sister and BIL go at least once, usually twice a year (posh gits usually have the owners suite or some such and the cost of the holiday would buy most people a decent car!.....) and they go with their friends who are another couple. The one thing my sister insists on is that any trip is booked through the cruise line as it gives a assurance that the ship won't leave without you if the trip is back late or that the cruise line will be responsible for getting you to the next port. Their friends don't bother with that. In the last 15 years the couple have been left behind twice, both times due to being stuck in traffic and getting back 2hrs+ late and then they've had to chase the cruise ship to the next port by other means.
