You're gonna get this a lot... is there a reason your not building it yourself?
As for the build, an i5 3570k will suffice for your needs as most games don't take advantage of the extra stuff of the i7. Same goes for the RAM, but it is cheap nowadays so when spending this much you might as well. Also, I'd suggest a modular PSU.

Ive always wanted to do a custom build and been saving for a long time to get one built :) .. Yeah the i7 and the ram is more for the future, always think its better to have it than one day find i need it .. You think the PSU power is enough just get a modular instead?

This is what I'd go for, ignore the max overclock because that is truely a waste of money. We can help you to overclock things easily.

go i5 and build it yourself will be a bit cheaper.

also dnt bother with the asus dg soundcard that 1 isnt much if anything better than on board.

I have 1 in my htpc just for the optical out and no difference between my gaming rig and my htpcs sound

Ahh okay thanks :) Do you feel anything else should be changed? .. Im not acctually building the computer myself at home i think i miss-understood what you were asking Rooster .. Im customising on the website its-self.

Surely your better getting something like the Titan 8700i pulse. it has an i5 3570k overclocked to 4.4ghz. and even with a 500gb SSD and a 680, it still comes in under £1400! - cheaper than your original build, faster for gaming and more SSD storage for games to improve load times!

If games ever make use of hyperthreading chances are you will need something faster than a i7 3770k by then anyway, so wouldn't worry about future proofing.

Also would you suggest not overclocking the CPU through the website .. Would you advise researching and doing myself?

Doesn't really cost that much for it to be done for you, and saves you the hassle and gives you a guaranteed overclock.

Either decide to build the thing yourself from scratch, or buy it all done for you is my advice.

Building yourself is a bit cheaper, but you also gain lots of knowledge. But if you have it pre built you have a warranty to fall back on for the whole system so saves you the hassle of trouble shooting!

But, say if the graphic card fails, you have to send back the whole system and not just the graphics card.

it all comes down to if the op actually will get enjoyment from learning how to build and overclock his own system, if he really cant be bothered and just wants to spend a lot of money to get a fast system to play games on and have little hassle if something goes wrong that's fair enough.
