Ok so i just put together my first high end rig. (Ryzen 9 3900x, RTX 2080 Super.)

I thought i'd test it by taking a relatively basic game (7 Days to Die) and cranking the graphics up to Ultra and i quickly started losing textures which i assume was down to overheating. The case was hot to the touch though aparently i was only at about 75 degrees which i've been told should be fine (it idles in the mid 50's). I'm personally not used to these temps from a PC so dunno if im panicking over nothing.

Im currently only using the Stock AMD Cooler as I wait for a specific aftermarket model (Aircooling) to come back into stock but im also looking at tips for the case itself. Its a Lancool 2 and it has 2 Stock Fan intakes in the front and 1 exhaust on the back. Whats the best setup for this case?

Help Welcome :)

Msi X570 Tomahawk
Ryzen 9 3900x
Gigabyte RTX 2080 Super
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 36gb 3600Mhz RAM.
2TB HDD + 500gb M.2 SSD
Lancool 2 case (Stock 120mm Fans, moved so 2 in front, 1 in rear)
Corsair RM750 Gold PSU

Settings are all stock since i've never Overclocked (havent even changed the XMP profiels) and I'm using the Wraith Prism cooler just because the cooler i want (Scythe Fuma 2) is perpetually out of stock. That will be replaced the second i can do so.

Scythe went to the trouble of making sure their mounting bracket is reversible for AMD vs Intel so im hoping they took that into account and i have found sites that rate it as compatible.

I know some coolers like the Cooler Master MA620 has trouble with Intel chips as it was designed with AMD in mind but the Scythe has had nothing but positive reviews.

But yeah i knew some better fans were going to be needed. Which would be better?
2 intake at front, an intake & exhaust on the top and an exhaust at the back
3 Intake at front, exhaust on back and top?

As said above, I've got an aftermarket cooler on the way (Scythe FUMA 2) and I still need to pick out some face cans and work out how i want to arrange them. And yeah the XMP thing i have been told before. Not sure what im doing with Bios but ill have a look.

I've already got the Scythe Fuma 2 in place now and the CPU temps have already dropped. I'm now sat at around 60 degrees tops while gaming.

The GPU is still sitting at 75 degrees average and haven't really run a full stress test yet but i have better case fans on the way and yeah, the case is hot to the touch but i know the Lancool Case isnt the best for airflow either. Might look into the mesh front.
