First Time Gaming PC advice.

Thanks for the swift reply.

I am looking to play mainly FPS, Planet Coaster, potential VR.
My budget is not far from the configuration on that link if that makes sense as I still need to budget for a monitor and what not.
Thanks again.

You should hold fire as AMD are launching the RX 5600 XT this week. Wait until the reviews are in.

Apart from the GPU, consider the below:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £712.59 (includes shipping: £14.70)

OCUK will build this for you for a modest fee if you cannot build it yourself - it's not hard.

I've included a high-end air cooler so you can overclock. If you don't want to overclock then the Ryzen CPU comes with a perfectly adequate air cooler. A Windows license can be purchased cheaply elsewhere.

How would I go about putting the windows license onto the computer then? Silly question I know...

What will happen is that you will purchase a license key from <cough, splutter> for around £15 then you go to Microsoft here and create the Windows 10 installation media on another PC. You will need a USB stick. 8 GB will suffice. When you've assembled your PC (if you're doing it yourself) you plug in the USB stick, boot the PC off it and follow the prompts. If you're having the PC built by OCUK they will install an unlicensed copy of Windows and you will just have to activate it with the code you purchased. Having a Windows boot key is a good idea anyway.

yeah i suspect a cheaper case, and cooler, and a newer psu would be in order, just my 2p in response to quartz's spec
the s12ii is a bit long in the tooth seeing as the model itself came out in 2012

pre-built spec slightly altered:

Thanks for the help so far. I will keep my eyes peeled on the price of the RX 5600 XT this week and see if it drastically makes it much more expensive and get back to you on it all.
Thanks once again!

Just been looking at the leaks of that new AMD and it less powerful isn't it from the leaks. Would you just say stick with what you originally stated then?

Lower number inside same serie means lower performance.
For 1920x1080 that RX 5600 would be certainly good, but for any higher resolutions not good.
That listing made by Tamzzy would be very good performing for the price.

Not a single reason to suggest such cooler when £50 cheaper cooler is aproaching overkill level for six core.
