hi im new to this overclocking game just got a few questions

1)can i do any dameage to the cpu if i reduce the voltage on an over clock?

iv set the bus speed to 100mhz and over clocked the cpu e6750 to 3gh from 2.66 i droped the voltage down a bit to ?

what do i have to do to the memory i read a lot of you guys say the memory has to be set to 1:1 when you look at it in cpu z mine says FSB VS DRAM 5:6 should i be bothered with that if what i have done so far works? will it make memory performance worse

hi thanks for the reply just bumped up the oc from 2.66 to 3.2gh,when i cange that dose it effect the ram at all? i have quite good crucial ram not sure what speed 800mhz i think in cpu z it say (bus speed 400mhz) and (rated FSB 1600MHZ) On the dram frq it says 480mhz and the fsb vs dram 5:6 i think what im trying to say badly is will my mem give me worse performance like this? aslo do i need to do oat with voltage regarding this?

thanks for that yer my mem says pc2-6400 (400mhz) its saying in the mem tab just for info so u can advise me if its ok to leave performance wise

i have also run prime for the last 30 mins full test no probs and max temp 41 from 21
 
what would that look like there is some thing thats says spd then a load of values like 2.00
3.33,4.00 or if i press crrl f1 i can alter things manual like how would i get one to on its a award bios on a gigabyte p55-ds3p
 
ok put it on auto and 2.00 in the bios got 5-5-5-18 still got row refresh of 52 clocks
is there any were i can read up on all this mem time just as back ground the only things i know that are good is 28-34-44 :-)

o yer let me just see what u have to say about this iv just installed to hard drive both 1tb

what partitions would u set on them?

and is it best to full format or quick format them

none are used to boot off

yer good point man that defrag dose take real long some time ill bear that in mind main reason i got such a big drive to so i can bang the full version of MAME on it,its a massive 198gb approx
