First time installing RAM...

Hey guys,

My computer it arriving tomorrow (see sig for spec) and was wondering about installing Ram for the first time. I've checked tutorials etc. but I want to be specific with the type of RAM I'll be using.

When installing it on my motherboard, will I need to go into the BIOS to make it run at its full potential? I've read that RAM is sometimes not used at its full potential until a BIOS check is done.

It's best to set the timings manually in the BIOS. Check your Motherboard manual which will explain how to do this.

Run everything at defaults for the first couple of days, to check for any instability issues before you start changing any settings. Do it straight away and you could spend a lot of time on a wild goose chase.
