Ok, so i have just finished overclocking and stabilising my CPU. i7 2700k 48 multi @ 1.35 volts. Im happy with that, could get it over 5.0Ghz but needed 1.42 volts, way too much for my liking and temps were hitting 75C.
Anyway, im now ready to overclock my GPU. HD 7950 Twin frozr 3 v2, on a 7970 pcb.
I downloaded afterburner but it limits the core to 1100. So i uninstalled it and am using Sapphire trixx. What i need to know is what is the procedure for overclocking a gpu?
What do you start on first? core or memory.
How much do you increment by?
Voltage, when and by how much do you increase. use trixx or the bios?
how do you stability test, what apps?
Will post results as and when i can.
