First Time Overclocking

Hi peeps,

I'm building a new system over the next couple of months and thinking of overclocking it for the first time. I've been reading up on it for a while and think I have a basic understanding of what to do now, but I want to make sure the Mobo I buy is overclocker friendly.

The system will be an AMD 6000+ 3.0Ghz Dual Core, and I've read these can be safely over clocked to 3.2Ghz - 3.3Ghz, without changing the voltage, which is something I'd prefer not to do, for fear of frying it!

The mobo I'm looking at is a Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4, part of the specification mentions the following:
Manual settings: CPU frequency, processor core voltage, memory voltage, memory bus frequency, FSB ratio (CPU:PCI), PCI Express x16 slot frequency

So I'm assuming it has the ability to overclock quite well? Also read about issues with boards that don't have a PCIex lock? I'm buying the CPU without the stock fan and will be installing a Scythe or something similar & the system with have Ballistix Tracer RAM (4GB DDR2 5300). I just need to make sure I have the right Mobo from the off. :)
Thanks, and a great Forum btw. ://sticks thumbs up
