Hi

I built my first pc up, when I did the first boot the computer started but no display. I did some research and I tried to remove ram and reinstall, I tried to turn pc on again and it displayed on my monitor I was able to view the bios which showed CPU running fine and Ram.

After installing windows I decided to switch off the pc and move it to the corner of the desk.
I loaded it up and again not displaying on monitor.
I have noticed when it starts up the fans kick in and then they slow down then kick back up, on the motherboard b550- a the lights on the dram is orange then goes off, cpu light is red then goes off , vga is white then goes off and boot is green then goes off dunno if this is anything to worry about.

Then I will switch it off and then switch it back on then it will load straight into windows?

Wish I didn’t build it now feel like I have failed lol.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Mostly working is better than not working, try turning off fast boot in bios, give everything a check over to make sure its all seated correctly

The lights you describe are normal. They are showing checks by motherboard on the parts. Only worry about those when one stays on.

How is the graphics card connected to monitor? HDMI or Displayport.

There should be a setting somewhere in BIOS for 'POST delay'. Sometimes adding a couple of seconds to this can help, give the GPU a little more time to initialise before the mobo looks for it.
Also check primary video output is set to PCI-E rather than Auto. Turn off Fast Boot as well, as Dg834man says above.

EDIT Yes, those lights are normal, no problem there.

I’d go for the simplest things first and try a different hdmi cable and ideally a different monitor. It sounds like the PC is booting fine but the display isn’t recognising the signal.
