first time user struggling with wordpress

im trying get wordpress on my site so i can use it to update the site, but i'm struggling with it. I have downloaded it and changed the file to include my password, user name etc. the next step is to upload it all, but i don't know where to? the only place i know of is where all my other files go, e.g. index.html, but uploading all the wordpress files would take ages.

Also not sure what needs to be done, if anything with the MySQL database? im with registron and i got the basic webpackage if that helps. i have set up a user (me), with a password aswell but from there on i don't know what else i could do.

You need to upload all the files then load the install one in your browser.

It will then ask you for the MySQL info.

upload them to where?

Where ever you want WordPress to be on your server. Theres plenty of documentation on the subject, 2 seconds on the WordPress website found this:
